Description For Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Google is seeking a Program Manager for Data Center Construction to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to data center construction and infrastructure. The position requires extensive experience in program management, technical facility operations, and infrastructure systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing data center or mission-critical facilities, with expertise in electrical, mechanical, and control systems. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional projects, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring effective communication across multiple stakeholders.

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll be part of the team that builds and maintains the architecture behind all of Google's user-facing products. Responsibilities For Program Manager, Data Center Construction

  • Design and deliver predictable program communication plans in collaboration with program stakeholders, including aimed communications by stakeholder type
  • Determine phasing and metrics associated with program lifecycle that effectively address continuous improvement including Resource Stewardship
  • Determine and collect data required to execute and govern programs effectively. Maintain project trackers and status reports
  • Execute change management requirements that are identified by program stakeholders
  • Build trusted relationships with program stakeholders, including managing expectations and ensuring they have insights for effective decisions

Requirements For Program Manager, Data Center Construction

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data center or mission critical facilities
  • 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, or infrastructure
