Description For Program Manager II, Supply Chain NPI, Technical Infrastructure

Google's Technical Infrastructure team is seeking a Program Manager II to lead supply chain and new product introduction initiatives. This role is crucial in maintaining Google's technical infrastructure, focusing on developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation platforms. The position involves managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders across offices, time zones, and hemispheres.

As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for driving material and supply chain readiness for all NPI builds, from concept phase to production handoff. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, manage supply chain risks, and develop comprehensive global supply chain maps for each product. The role requires expertise in materials management, project management, and new product introduction.

Responsibilities For Program Manager II, Supply Chain NPI, Technical Infrastructure

  • Drive material and supply chain readiness for all NPI builds from concept phase to production handoff
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure handoff for the Compute and Storage product group
  • Identify, communicate, and manage supply chain risks and mitigation plans
  • Ensure materials readiness for NPI builds as well as supply continuity into production
  • Liaison with ODM/CM/suppliers, manage spend against project budgets, and manage production risk buys and strategic buffers
  • Develop and document global supply chain map for each product

Requirements For Program Manager II, Supply Chain NPI, Technical Infrastructure

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management
  • Experience in materials management or clear to build process
  • Experience in new product introduction
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects
  • Experience across all phases of a product from prototype to mass production and end of life
  • Experience with Rack, Server, Advanced Cooling solution development
  • Experience leading or collaborating with influence for product launch and process optimization
  • Ability to shift between detailed analysis and customizing communications based on the audience
