Description For Program Manager, Operations Performance, Quality and Programs

Google is forming a new Submarine cable organization focused on building and operating global infrastructure to support Google Global Networking growth and open networking objectives. As a Program Manager in this role, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing data and performance quality initiatives within Network Operations. The position requires a strong background in program management and operations, with a focus on data analytics and process improvement.

The role is part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which is fundamental to keeping Google's services running efficiently. You'll be working on developing quality governance frameworks, implementing operational readiness testing programs, and driving operational excellence through data analytics and performance metrics.

Responsibilities For Program Manager, Operations Performance, Quality and Programs

  • Develop and implement Data and Performance Quality initiatives to improve Network Operations
  • Deliver Digitization initiatives to deliver operational innovations and overall effectiveness
  • Deliver quality governance frameworks, and implementation of an Operational Readiness Testing program
  • Test Network reliability, Processes robustness and completing retrospective analysis and improvement
  • Gather and collate all aspects of necessary Data and Analytics to drive operational effectiveness
  • Use data analytics to identify, create and establish measures of operational excellence/quality

Requirements For Program Manager, Operations Performance, Quality and Programs

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, computer/data science, business analytics, process or similar
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management
  • 3 years of experience in Operations, with a focus on data analytics, process developing and testing, performance quality and operational excellence
  • 5 years of experience managing digital transformation and IT projects
  • Ability to work on their own and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Ability to think creatively, identifying opportunities to measure, improve operational outcomes
