Description For Program Manager, Strategy and Operations, Consumer UX

Google's UX Programs & Operations team is seeking a Program Manager to drive strategic initiatives within their UX organizations. This role is crucial in streamlining UX design processes and fostering a culture of user-centered development. As a UX Program Manager, you'll work with multi-disciplinary teams including UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Content Strategists, and Engineers to create industry-leading products that impact billions of users.

The position requires combining expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to improve product design. You'll be responsible for planning projects, defining milestones, assessing risks, creating actionable insights, and ensuring timely project delivery. The role involves harmonizing work across various UX disciplines while collaborating with Engineering and Product Manager partners.

Requirements For Program Manager, Strategy and Operations, Consumer UX

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of program management experience within design or UX organizations
  • Experience in data analysis tools such as SQL or similar
  • Experience with the product development lifecycle
  • Experience analyzing data and delivering recommendations for improvement
  • Experience managing risks
  • Experience in budget management, hiring practices, or vendor management
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
