Google is seeking a Supply and Material Planning Program Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in managing material supply planning, procurement, and inventory management for critical data center products. The position requires a strategic mindset to balance customer objectives with inventory optimization.
The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of supply chain management and technical infrastructure, collaborating with multiple teams including NPI, Demand Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, Fulfillment, and Contract Manufacturing. They will be responsible for developing and executing material plans throughout the product lifecycle while driving process improvements and efficiency.

Responsibilities For Program Manager, Supply and Material Planning, Global Infrastructure
- Establish the supply/material plan to position materials to address different demand scenarios while meeting the financial objectives of the business
- Develop and justify inventory buffer strategies that optimize cost and flexibility
- Partner with cross-functional teams to procure materials and ensure availability to fulfill customer needs
- Drive cross-functional projects to implement new capabilities and improve existing ones across the organization
- Collaborate with NPI and Spare teams to manage the planning process, ensuring alignment with the product life cycle
- Ensure continuity of supply by implementing ongoing enhancements to the planning process
Requirements For Program Manager, Supply and Material Planning, Global Infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 2 years of experience in program or project management
- Experience in supply/demand planning with supply chain management
- Experience in materials and inventory management
- Master's degree or MBA with emphasis in Supply Chain Management (preferred)
- Experience interacting with diverse technical and non-technical groups (preferred)
- Experience in forecasting/planning/supply chain and implementing process improvements (preferred)
- Experience with spreadsheet software, SQL, and scripting (preferred)
