Description For Salesforce Application Engineer, Customer Apps and Platforms Enablement

Google is seeking a Salesforce Application Engineer to join their Business Systems Integration team within the Core organization. This role combines technical expertise in Salesforce development with strategic business process improvement. You'll be responsible for architecting and developing Salesforce-based applications that drive business success across Google's operations. The position requires deep knowledge of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, and various integration patterns.

As part of the Core team, you'll work on building technical foundations that support Google's flagship products. This team owns and advocates for underlying design elements, developer platforms, and infrastructure components that are essential to Google's success. You'll have the opportunity to influence technical decisions across the company and break down technical barriers while strengthening existing systems.

The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to create an integrated CRM platform, developing custom solutions using Salesforce technologies, and ensuring smooth implementation of business-critical applications. You'll be expected to leverage your expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and SOQL to deliver key features while working closely with business stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize improvements.

Responsibilities For Salesforce Application Engineer, Customer Apps and Platforms Enablement

  • Be a technical expert on the Salesforce platform leveraging your proven experience to architect and develop Salesforce-based applications
  • Design, develop, and sustain business critical applications
  • Leverage Apex, LWC, Visualforce, JavaScript and SOQL skills to deliver key new features
  • Work with teams to create an integrated Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform
  • Collaborate with the business and operations team to define, evaluate, prioritize, and improve Salesforce-centric applications

Requirements For Salesforce Application Engineer, Customer Apps and Platforms Enablement

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience working with configuration and custom development CRM modules in SFDC (Salesforce)
  • Experience integrating SFDC (Salesforce) with business applications
  • Experience coding in APEX
  • Certified Salesforce Platform Developer (I or II) preferred
  • Experience with web technologies and Web Services
  • Experience in Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, Apex, integration patterns
  • Understanding of software implementation lifecycle
