Google Cloud is seeking a Scaled Customer Engineer specializing in Security to join their team. This role involves partnering with technical Sales teams as a cyber-security subject matter expert to differentiate Google Cloud and its security solutions to customers. You will help prospective and existing customers and partners develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, engage in proofs of concepts, and troubleshoot technical questions related to cyber-security. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud native architecture, cyber-security, and customer-facing experience. You'll work closely with customers to understand their business and technical requirements, present practical solutions on Google Cloud, and partner with internal engineering stakeholders to improve products and build solutions. This role requires fluency in both English and Portuguese, as well as the ability to travel to customer sites and events as needed. Responsibilities For Scaled Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud (English, Portuguese)
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
- Share Security knowledge to support the technical relationship with customers, including technology advocacy, supporting bid responses, product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud
- Work with Google Cloud products to demonstrate and prototype integrations in customer and partner environments
- Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution on Google Cloud
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed, acting as a public advocate for Google Cloud
Requirements For Scaled Customer Engineer, Security, Google Cloud (English, Portuguese)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
- Experience in cyber-security matters (e.g., threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, Identity and Access Management systems)
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders with the ability to communicate fluently in English and Portuguese
