Description For Security Engineer, Hardware/Firmware, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Hardware/Firmware to join their team in Munich, Germany. This role is crucial for maintaining the security of Google's data center infrastructure and cloud services. The position involves performing security reviews of platforms and components destined for Google data centers, developing threat models, and investigating security properties in Hardware and Firmware.

As a Security Engineer, you'll be part of Google's Security team, working to create and maintain the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. You'll collaborate with network equipment, actively monitor systems for attacks and intrusions, and work alongside software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in security assessments, security engineering, and computer network security. Strong coding skills in C are required, along with experience in hardware/firmware systems programming and reverse engineering. You'll be working with development teams across different time zones to drive security improvements.
