Google Cloud is seeking a Security Engineer specializing in Hardware/Firmware to join their team in Munich, Germany. This mid-level position focuses on creating and maintaining the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. The role involves performing security reviews of platforms and components for Google data centers, developing threat models, and investigating security properties in Hardware and Firmware.

As a Security Engineer, you'll work with network equipment and actively monitor systems for attacks and intrusions. You'll collaborate with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. The position requires expertise in security assessments, design reviews, and threat modeling, with a strong background in computer and network security protocols.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in security engineering and proficiency in C programming. Preferred qualifications include experience with Hardware, Firmware, Systems Programming, Software Engineering, Reverse Engineering, and security research. You'll be working with different development teams across various time zones to drive security improvements.
