As a Security Engineer Intern at Google, you will be at the forefront of protecting network boundaries, hardening computer systems and network devices against attacks, and providing security services to safeguard highly sensitive data. This internship is designed for students in their penultimate academic year pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
You'll work on a broad range of devices, actively monitoring systems for attacks and intrusions. The role focuses on the offensive/testing side, collaborating with software engineers to proactively identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities. You'll also have the opportunity to build tools, scripts, and other automation to help project teams achieve Google-scale impact.
Key responsibilities include applying knowledge from computer science courses to real-world challenges, analyzing information to solve complex problems, developing scripts for task automation, and contributing to a productive and innovative team environment.
