Google Cloud is seeking a Security Engineering Manager to lead their Operational Technology (OT) Security team within the Product Security Engineering organization. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and security engineering to protect Google's critical infrastructure. The position requires an experienced professional with 10+ years in security engineering and team leadership, focusing on operational technology and industrial control systems security.
The role involves managing cross-organizational security initiatives for Industrial Controls Systems/Operational Technology environments, conducting security assessments, and developing strategic security solutions. You'll work within the Cloud CISO organization, specifically in the Product Security Engineering team, which ensures the security of all Cloud products and infrastructure.
As a Security Engineering Manager, you'll be responsible for protecting network boundaries, hardening systems against attacks, and securing sensitive data. The role requires expertise in multiple security domains and the ability to drive major security improvements across Google's infrastructure. You'll work with various stakeholders, including GDC Product Design teams and Operations teams, to implement secure engineering practices in the OT and industrial control systems space.
The position offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $237,000-$337,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Responsibilities For Security Engineering Manager, Operational Technology, Cloud CISO
- Manage and influence cross-organizational programs and stakeholders to land security projects for Industrial Controls Systems/Operational Technology environments
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments of existing ICS/OT environments to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and non-compliance with Google standards
- Work with ICS/OT devices, networks, and applications to mitigate potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Research and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the ICS/OT security program
- Develop and implement a prioritized roadmap for remediation, aligning with business objectives
Requirements For Security Engineering Manager, Operational Technology, Cloud CISO
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols
- 10 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages
- 10 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling
- 10 years of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis in an enterprise environment
- Experience with operational technology and industrial controls systems
- Operational Technology security certification (preferred)
