Google Cloud is seeking a Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer to join their Research and Development team. As a CPU Design Verification Engineer, you will play a crucial role in verifying complex digital designs for server chip projects. Your responsibilities will include building verification components, implementing constrained-random testing, conducting system testing, and ensuring verification closure. You'll work closely with design and verification engineers, collaborating on projects and performing direct verification tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning the verification of digital design blocks by understanding design specifications and identifying important verification scenarios.
- Creating and enhancing constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog/UVM or Specman.
- Identifying and writing various types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases.
- Debugging tests with design engineers to ensure functionally correct design blocks.
- Closing coverage measures to identify verification holes and track progress towards tape-out.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with experience in verifying digital logic at the RTL level using SystemVerilog or Specman/E for FPGAs or ASICs. Familiarity with standard verification methodologies, IP components, and interconnects is essential.

Responsibilities For Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer

Requirements For Senior CPU Design Verification Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- Experience verifying digital logic at RTL level using SystemVerilog or Specman/E for FPGAs or ASICs
- Experience creating and using verification components and environments in standard verification methodology
- Experience verifying digital systems using standard IP components/interconnects (e.g., microprocessor cores, hierarchical memory subsystems)
