Description For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

Google's Trust & Safety team is seeking a Senior Engineering Analyst for the Google One team to help protect users and partners from abuse across Google products. This role combines data analysis, project management, and technical expertise to fight abuse and ensure user safety. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify trends, develop solutions, and implement protective measures against emerging threats.

The position requires strong analytical skills with 5 years of experience in data analysis and project management. You'll leverage programming skills in Python and Go to analyze datasets, develop machine learning algorithms, and improve counter-abuse processes. The role involves collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to enhance platform resilience and user safety.

As part of Google's Trust & Safety team, you'll join a diverse group of experts working in over 40 languages to reduce risk and fight abuse across all Google products. The team focuses on critical areas such as malware, spam, and account hijacking, delivering bold solutions to make the internet safer.

Responsibilities For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

  • Work with cross-functional teams across the company, identifying new trends, vulnerabilities and influencing company-wide direction and strategies in the Counter-Abuse space
  • Work within Google Photos and Google One to set processes and priorities alongside Cross-functional teams
  • Define, implement and monitor abuse metrics, initiate and lead mitigation efforts to address any concerning trends
  • Identify operational and tooling improvements to Counter-Abuse processes
  • Work with Engineering to develop solutions and Machine learning algorithms to improve protection coverage

Requirements For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Experience in querying and analyzing datasets, including time-series data and performing statistical analysis
  • Excellent programming skills with experience in Python and Golang
  • Experience operating within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to deliver persuasive, concise verbal and written communications
  • Excellent business acumen and innovative thinking
