Description For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

Google's Trust & Safety team is seeking a Senior Engineering Analyst for the Google One team to help protect users and maintain platform integrity. This role combines data analysis, project management, and security expertise to fight abuse across Google's products. You'll work with cross-functional teams to identify trends, develop solutions, and implement protective measures.

The position requires strong analytical skills with 5 years of experience in data analysis and project management. You'll be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring abuse metrics, and developing machine learning solutions to enhance platform security. The role involves working with Google Photos and Google One teams to establish trust and safety processes.

As part of Google's abuse-fighting experts, you'll contribute to making the internet safer by preventing malware, spam, and account hijacking. The role offers the opportunity to work with diverse teams across Google, including engineers, product managers, and policy specialists, serving users in over 40 languages globally.

Responsibilities For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

  • Work with cross-functional teams across the company, identifying new trends, vulnerabilities and influencing company-wide direction
  • Work within Google Photos and Google One to set processes and priorities alongside Cross-functional teams
  • Define, implement and monitor abuse metrics, initiate and lead mitigation efforts
  • Identify operational and tooling improvements to Counter-Abuse processes
  • Work with Engineering to develop solutions and Machine learning algorithms to improve protection coverage

Requirements For Senior Engineering Analyst, Google One

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Experience in querying and analyzing datasets, including time-series data and performing statistical analysis
  • Experience in Python and Golang programming
  • Ability to deliver persuasive, concise verbal and written communications
  • Excellent business acumen and innovative thinking
