Description For Senior Equipment Engineer

Google's Raxium display group is at the forefront of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology, specifically focused on augmented reality (AR) and light-field display applications. As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the maintenance, optimization, and troubleshooting of semiconductor processing equipment critical to microLED and Augmented Reality development.

The position involves working with advanced vacuum systems related to CVD, ICP, and RIE, requiring a broad understanding of semiconductor manufacturing. You'll also support other critical toolsets, including ECP, CMP, lithography, and wet etch. Your responsibilities will encompass installations, preventative maintenance implementation, and maximizing the reliability and performance of various toolsets.

Based in Silicon Valley with a state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab, Raxium offers an exciting opportunity to join a team aimed at disrupting next-generation display markets. The role combines hands-on technical work with team leadership, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong collaborative skills.

This position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $138,000-$202,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Requirements For Senior Equipment Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting semiconductor processing equipment
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment processes and automation systems (PLCs, robotics, etc)
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues
