The Raxium Facility and Equipment team at Google plays a crucial role in developing unique microLEDs for AR applications. As a Senior Equipment Engineer, you'll be part of a team ensuring the safe and smooth operation of semiconductor equipment in our state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley. The role focuses on expert-level maintenance, support, and optimization of semiconductor processing equipment, particularly advanced vacuum systems related to Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), and Reactive Ion Etching (RIE).

The position offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $138,000-$202,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology in Google's Raxium display group, which has developed revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology for applications in augmented reality (AR) and light-field display.

Your responsibilities will span across various process areas including vacuum, lithography, metrology, and wet processing. You'll be expected to leverage your experience to support installations, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and performance. The role requires strong technical expertise, diagnostic skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to join a team that's pushing the boundaries of display technology, with the backing and resources of Google.
