Description For Senior Equipment Engineer, Metrology, Raxium

Google's Raxium display group is at the forefront of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology, specifically focused on augmented reality (AR) and light-field display applications. As a Senior Equipment Engineer in the Metrology department, you'll join a dynamic team maintaining semiconductor/facility equipment and cleanroom infrastructure at their state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Silicon Valley.

The role focuses on expert-level maintenance, support, and optimization of advanced metrology systems, particularly working with tools like ellipsometers, Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM), and optical systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and accuracy of critical metrology tools used in semiconductor manufacturing environments, supporting microLED and AR development.

Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues, implementing maintenance procedures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You'll collaborate with internal teams and vendors, provide technical training, and maintain detailed documentation of all equipment-related activities.

This position offers an excellent compensation package, including a competitive base salary range of $138,000-$202,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
