Google's Data Center Automation Services (DAS) engineering team is seeking a Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join their dynamic group focused on automation standards and capabilities. This role combines hardware, software, and control systems expertise to develop and implement automation solutions across Google's manufacturing, supply chain, and data center facilities.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $126,000-$181,000 plus comprehensive benefits, including bonus and equity opportunities. Responsibilities For Senior Mechatronics Engineer, Data Center Automation Services

  • Operate separately within a project, providing technical expertise on projects
  • Implement control system solutions and their maintenance/improvement
  • Develop and maintain design blocks or components/part of systems product
  • Integrate design blocks or components/parts to create product subsystems
  • Identify flaws and issues with hardware components or systems
  • Debug standard issues, risks, or trade-offs
  • Address common hardware failures by identifying corrective solutions
  • Build prototypes of systems design components
  • Document systems design and its implementation throughout the product life-cycle

Requirements For Senior Mechatronics Engineer, Data Center Automation Services

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience designing and testing multiple subsystems and systems
  • 3 years of experience with industrial electrical control system components and system design
  • Knowledge of regional industrial and safety standards (ISO, NFPA, RIA, ANSI)
  • Experience in C++, C#, or Python
  • Experience with Cloud-based software technologies
  • Experience with industrial vision systems
  • Experience using electronic and mechanical fabrication and test equipment
