Description For Senior Platform System Architect, Silicon

Google is seeking a Senior Platform System Architect to join their silicon team, focusing on developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role is crucial in shaping the next generation of hardware experiences, particularly in the Tensor SoC architecture for Pixel devices. The position combines Google's expertise in AI, Software, and Hardware to create innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate will work at the intersection of hardware and software, optimizing Power Performance Area (PPA) while collaborating with various teams including Software/Hardware architects, design teams, and research teams. They will be responsible for enabling advanced Generative AI technologies from Google Deepmind research on Pixel phone devices.

Responsibilities For Senior Platform System Architect, Silicon

  • Influence Tensor SoC architecture decisions for optimal Power Performance Area (PPA)
  • Leverage a data driven approach through on goal profiling, simulation and modeling
  • Lead the development of architecture specifications, system design documentation, workload analysis, modeling and projection

Requirements For Senior Platform System Architect, Silicon

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with computer architecture concepts, including microarchitecture, cache hierarchy, pipelining, and memory subsystems
  • 3 years of experience working with Mobile/Embedded SoC architecture or use case system design
  • Knowledge of Android Architecture, Mobile SoC architecture, ML architecture, Computer Architecture, PPA trade-offs
  • Experience driving system architecture decisions across Software/Hardware teams
