Description For Senior Publisher Experience Manager

Google's Trust & Safety team is seeking a Senior Publisher Experience Manager to lead a global team of executive policy specialists. This role is crucial in building trust in the digital advertising ecosystem and mitigating legal, reputational, and regulatory risks. The position involves developing comprehensive publisher experience strategies, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest levels of user safety across Google's products.

As a Senior Publisher Experience Manager, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance publisher experience and policy education. You'll work closely with Sales and Product leadership, manage escalations, and drive improvements throughout the user journey. The role requires strong leadership skills to guide a global team and excellent communication abilities to engage with both internal and external stakeholders.

Google's Trust & Safety team is dedicated to making the internet safer, working across all of Google's products to protect users, advertisers, and publishers globally. The team comprises diverse professionals including Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, operating in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities For Senior Publisher Experience Manager

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive publisher experience enhancement strategy including a policy education strategy
  • Lead the global team to create and deliver policy training materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Partner closely with Sales and Product leadership to support safer business growth
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest policy developments
  • Mitigate escalations that pose a legal, regulatory, or reputational risk
  • Drive data excellence within the team with well defined success metrics

Requirements For Senior Publisher Experience Manager

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 13 years of experience in publisher sales/experience, content monetization, policy creation, program management, business strategy, or related fields
  • 5 years of experience in policy development, education, or training
  • 2 years of experience in people management, leading teams
  • Understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem
  • Excellent critical thinking skills with ability to think at a systems level
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and presentation skills
