Senior Security Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their team in creating and maintaining the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. This role combines security engineering expertise with technical leadership, focusing on parser development and security log analysis. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology at massive scale, processing petabytes of security data.

As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll lead the design and development of security log parsers, working with various data sources including networking, traffic, operating systems, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure. You'll be responsible for testing and debugging parser issues, while also guiding vendor teams in developing gold standard security log parsers.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of security engineering experience, with strong expertise in security assessments, threat modeling, and coding. Leadership experience is essential, as you'll be guiding teams and making critical technical decisions. Knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or Go is highly valued, along with experience in SIEM and SOAR automation.
