Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their team in creating and maintaining the safest operating environment for Google's users and developers. This role combines security engineering expertise with hands-on development, focusing on parser design and security log analysis. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll be instrumental in developing and maintaining security systems that protect Google Cloud's vast infrastructure. You'll work closely with network equipment, actively monitor systems for attacks and intrusions, and collaborate with software engineers to identify and fix security flaws and vulnerabilities proactively.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in security assessments, threat modeling, and security protocols, combined with solid coding experience. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer, Google Cloud
- Lead parser design and development of security log types and log formats
- Test and Debug parser issues related to mappings, performance and validations
- Guide and lead vendors teams for development of gold standard parsers for security logs
- Develop and maintain quality fetchers and log parsers for processing petabytes of heterogeneous data from various sources
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer, Google Cloud
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience with security assessments or security design reviews or threat modeling
- 5 years of experience with security engineering, computer and network security and security protocols
- 5 years of coding experience in one or more general purpose languages
- 1 year of experience leading teams in a technical capacity or leading technical risk analysis
- Experience in SIEM and SOAR automation for efficient SOC operations
- Experience in Parser development, Security Analysis, Networking, Windows, TCP/IP, Security and Command-Line Interface
