Senior Security Engineer, Secure Use

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to join their Security team in creating and maintaining the safest operating environment for users and developers. This role focuses on protecting network boundaries, hardening systems against attacks, and securing sensitive data. The position requires 5 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, and coding, along with leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will work on building security tools, detecting and remediating systemic issues across cloud products, and ensuring secure customer outcomes. They will provide technical oversight to cloud product teams and create resources to address customer security challenges. The role involves hands-on work with network equipment, monitoring systems for attacks, and collaborating with software engineers to identify and fix security vulnerabilities.

The role requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, strong coding skills, and extensive experience in security assessments, cloud security, and technical leadership.
