Description For Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Google is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Ads team, focusing on developing technologies that power the open internet through advertising solutions. The role involves working on critical projects across Google's advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics. As a software engineer, you'll be part of a team creating trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads, helping grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses to large brands and YouTube creators.

The position requires a versatile engineer with leadership qualities and enthusiasm to tackle new problems across the full-stack. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies in areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and UI design.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

  • Write and test product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide on available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture
  • 3 years of experience with full stack development
  • Experience with back-end (Java, Python, Golang, or C++) and front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS)
