Senior Software Engineer, Open Source Security

Google's Core team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Open Source Security initiatives. This role is crucial in developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. You'll work with the Google Open Source Security Team (GOSST), Managed Open Source Software (MOSS), and Information Security Engineering (ISE) teams to enhance security infrastructure and package management.

The position involves collaborating on critical projects focused on rebuilding infrastructure and signal generation capabilities for high-impact packages and ecosystems affecting Google and Google Cloud Platform. You'll be responsible for ensuring findings are properly tracked, reviewed, and acted upon through various systems and dashboards.

As part of the Core team, you'll have the unique opportunity to influence technical decisions across Google, building central solutions and breaking down technical barriers. The team serves as the foundation for Google's flagship products, owning and advocating for underlying design elements, developer platforms, and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in software development, security engineering, and open-source software.
