Description For Senior Software Engineer, Open Source Security

Google's Core team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Open Source Security Team (GOSST). This role is crucial for developing next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. You'll work on rebuilding and signal generation capability for packages and ecosystems critical to Google and Google Cloud Platform. The position involves collaboration across GOSST, Managed Open Source Software (MOSS), and Information Security Engineering teams.

As part of the Core team, you'll help build the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products, focusing on underlying design elements, developer platforms, and infrastructure. You'll be responsible for building rebuilding infrastructure and creating findings for human review through dashboards and automated intervention systems.

The ideal candidate should be versatile, with strong leadership qualities and enthusiasm for tackling new problems across the full-stack.   • Knowledge of authentication and security protocols, and applied cryptography
