Senior Software Engineer, Search UI Infrastructure

Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The team's mission is to design, develop, and maintain a flexible, intuitive, scalable, and reliable infrastructure that powers Google Search. The team focuses on building the core UI foundation that enables the Feature teams to iterate and deliver resilient search experiences to users worldwide. The team owns the underlying infrastructure that ensures Search developers have the tools they need to build next-generation AI-driven experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Own aspects of software engineering work, from conception through implementation and deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to scope problems, research potential solutions and technologies, and recommend solutions that balance short-term needs with long-term goals.
• Design and develop full-stack solutions, leverage knowledge in Java, C++, UI rendering, server-side optimizations, and infrastructure performance.
• Act as a point of contact for the team and contribute to setting technical direction and priorities.
• Drive projects from inception through execution, and demonstrate technical leadership and development.
