Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineering Manager, Storage, Platforms Infrastructure Engineering

  • Lead and coach a team of SSD storage software engineers and managers to create and deliver innovative flash storage solutions that meet customers requirements for all of Google
  • Lead evaluation and development of new flash storage technologies, standards, drivers, health monitors, and storage management solutions
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and system engineers to ensure seamless integration and optimization, while engaging with cross-organizational leads to co-develop roadmap
  • Drive all aspects of the development including requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration to ensure high quality deliverables
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to enable timely onboarding of new storage systems and a flexible portfolio strategy

  • 5 years of experience with embedded operating systems
  • Experience with C, C++, flash storage, systems software, kernel drivers and hardware server platforms
