Senior Staff Research Scientist, Google Cloud AI

Google Cloud AI Research team is seeking a Senior Staff Research Scientist to address AI challenges motivated by Google Cloud's mission of bringing AI to tech, healthcare, finance, retail, and many other industries. The role involves working on unique problems focused on research topics that maximize scientific and real-world impact, aiming to push the state-of-the-art in AI and share findings with the broader research community.

As a Research Scientist, you'll setup large-scale tests and deploy promising ideas quickly and broadly, managing deadlines and deliverables while applying the latest theories to develop new and improved products, processes, or technologies. Your responsibilities will include authoring research papers, contributing to research growth by sharing trends and best practices, delivering full projects, identifying new research areas, and addressing undefined problems in existing technology.

The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 6 years of experience with research agendas across multiple teams or projects. Strong coding skills in Python, JavaScript, R, Java, or C++ are required.
