Responsibilities For Senior Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Observability

  • Provide technical guidance, leadership, and mentorship across the Cloud Observability team
  • Take on project ownership for Error Reporting, Uptime Monitoring, and Cloud Profiler
  • Design, build, and launch Observability Hub and establish and maintain high technical standards, ensuring code quality, reliability, and performance
  • Own the overall design, architecture, and implementation strategies. Make key decisions regarding technology choices, system design, and trade-offs
  • Engage cross-functionally to align with overall Cloud Observability product goals and strategies

Requirements For Senior Staff Software Engineer, Cloud Observability

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction
  • 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects
  • Experience with platforms or infrastructure development
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry and Datadog APIs
  • Experience working with cloud developers and operators
