Description For Senior Staff Software Engineer, Spanner Technical Lead

Responsibilities For Senior Staff Software Engineer, Spanner Technical Lead

  • Lead a team of engineers to design, develop, and deploy new Spanner features and enhancements. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews to ensure high-quality software development.
  • Architect and design scalable, reliable systems that meet the needs of Spanner's growing customer base. Make data-driven decisions to optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues, analyze performance bottlenecks, and develop innovative solutions to address customer issues. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues effectively.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends in cloud database technology and drive innovation within the Spanner team. Propose and implement new features that enhance Spanner's capabilities and differentiate it from competitors.

Requirements For Senior Staff Software Engineer, Spanner Technical Lead

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
  • 5 years of experience testing and launching software products.
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
