Description For Senior Systems Development Engineer, Enterprise Fleet Integration and Management

Google's Enterprise Fleet Integration and Management (EFIM) team is seeking a Senior Systems Development Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in managing and improving systems that control and monitor services across Google's global properties. The position sits within Google's Core team, which is responsible for building the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products.

As a Senior Systems Development Engineer, you'll work on systems including physical access control, video surveillance, radio communication, and guest management systems. You'll be expected to bring strong technical expertise in infrastructure automation, monitoring tools, and Linux systems. The role requires both technical depth and the ability to work independently while collaborating with various teams.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with technical infrastructure, with preferred experience of 10 years in systems automation and implementation. You'll be working with cutting-edge technologies and tools like Ansible, Puppet, and Google Cloud Platform, focusing on creating scalable solutions that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

What makes this role particularly exciting is the opportunity to impact critical technical decisions across Google. You'll be part of a team that emphasizes development of tools and solutions that fix classes of problems, not just individual issues. The role offers the chance to work on meaningful projects in a blame-free environment that promotes self-direction while providing support and mentorship for continuous learning and growth.

Google offers a unique work environment that brings together people with diverse backgrounds and perspectives, encouraging collaboration and big-thinking. The company is committed to building a representative workforce and creating a culture of belonging, making it an ideal place for engineers who want to make a significant impact while working with cutting-edge technology at a global scale.
