Google is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join their Consumer Hardware Silicon team, focusing on developing high-performance and low-power hardware solutions. This role combines technical expertise with program management, requiring leadership of complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. The position involves working with Google's chip design teams to bring-up, debug, and validate System on Chip (SoC) silicon solutions.
The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical implementation and project management, working closely with architects and logic designers for pre-silicon platform planning and leading post-arrival power-on and silicon validation efforts. Responsibilities For Senior Technical Program Manager, Chip Design
- Work with various engineering teams to develop and manage custom silicon projects
- Help engineering teams communicate project status to internal stakeholders across Google
- Work closely with partners on product development schedules, dependencies and budgets
- Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies and provide conflict resolution
- Drive program reviews, build schedules cross-functionally, keep program milestones on track
- Coordinate between partners and product engineering teams, setting and managing schedules and milestones
- Travel and attend Google Video Conferences (GVC) as required to coordinate with teams in Mountain View (MTV) and Asia Pacific (APAC)
Requirements For Senior Technical Program Manager, Chip Design
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in a silicon organization
- 5 years of experience in leading teams or cross-functional projects
- Experience with chip design
- Experience with product development, program management, project management, professional services or engineering management (preferred)
- Experience working in the Consumer Electronics industry involving executing technical programs with external partnerships (preferred)
- Experience and knowledge of chips and embedded systems used in mobile devices (preferred)
