Description For Silicon Design Verification Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud is seeking a Silicon Design Verification Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves developing custom silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. The position requires collaboration with design and verification engineers on active projects, building efficient constrained-random verification environments, and managing the complete verification lifecycle. The ideal candidate will work on verification planning, test execution, and coverage collection.

The role is part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for building and maintaining the architecture behind all of Google's online services. The team develops and maintains data centers, builds next-generation Google platforms, and ensures networks run optimally for the best user experience.

As a Silicon Design Verification Engineer, you'll contribute to products used by millions worldwide, focusing on hardware experiences that deliver exceptional performance, efficiency, and integration. The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology, including AI/ML accelerators and ASIC interfaces.

Responsibilities For Silicon Design Verification Engineer, Google Cloud

  • Plan the verification of digital design blocks and interact with design engineers to identify important verification scenarios
  • Create and enhance constrained-random verification environments using SystemVerilog and UVM, or formally verify designs with SVA and industry leading formal tools
  • Identify and write all types of coverage measures for stimulus and corner-cases
  • Debug tests with design engineers to deliver functionally correct design blocks
  • Manage coverage measures to identify verification holes and show progress towards tape-out

Requirements For Silicon Design Verification Engineer, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience in verification of IP designs (e.g., CPU, Peripherals, PMU, etc.)
  • Experience with SystemVerilog, SVA and functional coverage
  • Experience with verification methodology (e.g., UVM, OVM, VMM)
