Google Cloud is seeking a Silicon Hardware Lab Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves managing a hardware laboratory environment and working with hardware test engineers on prototype bring-up, validation, and qualification of server, networking, and optical platforms. The position requires strong technical expertise in hardware engineering and lab management.

The role offers an opportunity to be part of Google's innovative Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining data centers and building next-generation Google platforms. You'll work directly with hardware test engineers and serve as a liaison between engineering design and test teams to ensure proper resource allocation and lab readiness for new products.

Key responsibilities include managing hardware components, coordinating project builds, documenting lab layouts, and maintaining a safe, organized working environment. Requirements For Silicon Hardware Lab Manager, Google Cloud

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience working in a hardware or silicon engineering lab, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience in the configuration of network switches (e.g., Arista)
  • Experience with electrical systems, test equipment, and lab management and maintenance
