Google is seeking a Silicon Test Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team, focusing on developing and implementing comprehensive test solutions for System on Chips (SoC) that power their advanced data centers. This role is crucial in shaping the future of AI/ML hardware acceleration, particularly working with TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) technology that drives Google's most demanding AI/ML applications.
The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and be part of a diverse team that pushes boundaries in custom silicon solutions. You'll be responsible for developing and deploying test solutions with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) at wafer fabs and Outsourced Assembly and Tests (OSAT).
Key responsibilities include ATE test program development, IP-level test development for DFT structural tests, and supporting chip-level DFT test development. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal test coverage and high-quality SoCs, while also developing automation methodologies and supporting internal tools for test program generation.
The role requires strong technical expertise in test engineering or product engineering, with specific experience in ASIC or SoC DFT test development. Preferred qualifications include experience with Automatic Test Equipment platforms and advanced testing protocols.
This position offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $150,000-$223,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, working behind the scenes to maintain and improve the architecture that keeps Google's vast product portfolio running efficiently.
Join Google in this role to contribute to groundbreaking technology development, work with state-of-the-art testing equipment, and be part of a team that's proud to be "engineers' engineers." Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of Google's data center infrastructure, making this an excellent opportunity for those passionate about hardware testing and quality assurance at scale.
