Description For SoC System Level Test and Product Engineer

Google is seeking a SoC System Level Test and Product Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining the hardware, software, and networking technologies that power Google's services. The position involves working with custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products, from low-level circuit design to system design and manufacturing support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test engineering, particularly in System Level Test (SLT) for high-volume manufacturing of semiconductor products. You'll work with cross-functional teams globally, focusing on test deployment, yield optimization, and quality assurance. Responsibilities For SoC System Level Test and Product Engineer

  • Develop and implement strategies for high volume manufacturing test of SoC products, including troubleshooting, test coverage optimization, Defective Parts Per Million (DPPM) reduction, and power and performance assurance
  • Participate in system level test deployment and optimization for high volume manufacturing, working with the New Product Introduction (NPI) team, vendors, and product engineering to consistent uptime and first pass yield
  • Own System Level Test (SLT) yield, identify and separate test and design/process yield loss
  • Support debug and solutions to test related failures through software, test content development, hardware, and operational improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the globe including Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and SLT Test Engineering, Packaging, Supplier Management and Operations to ensure SLT success

Requirements For SoC System Level Test and Product Engineer

Python
Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in test engineering or product engineering
  • 5 years of experience with industry-standard tools, languages and methodologies relevant to the development of silicon-based ICs and chips
  • Experience in System Level Test development for NPI or High Volume Manufacturing
  • Experience with Linux/Unix, Python programming, or TCP/IP network configuration
