Google's Augmented Reality team is seeking a Software Developer III for Mobile (Android) development. This role is part of a diverse group of experts building the foundations for immersive computing and creating helpful, delightful user experiences. The position involves developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another.

As a Software Developer III, you'll work on critical projects with opportunities to switch teams as the business evolves. You'll manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, while designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions. The role requires versatility, leadership qualities, and enthusiasm to tackle new problems across the full-stack.

Key responsibilities include writing product code, reviewing and providing feedback on code, contributing to documentation, triaging and resolving issues, and participating in design reviews. The ideal candidate will have experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, debugging, and developing accessible technologies.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Software Developer III, Mobile (Android), AR

  • Write product or system development code
  • Review code developed and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies

Requirements For Software Developer III, Mobile (Android), AR
