Site Reliability Development at Google Cloud combines software and systems development to build and run large-scale, massively distributed, fault-tolerant systems. As a Site Reliability Developer, you'll ensure Google Cloud's services maintain reliability and appropriate uptime while managing complex challenges of scale unique to Google Cloud. The role involves optimizing existing systems, building infrastructure, and automating processes.

Responsibilities For Software Developer III, Site Reliability Development, Google Cloud

  • Write product or system development code
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies

Requirements For Software Developer III, Site Reliability Development, Google Cloud

Linux
Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with data structures/algorithms and software development in one or more programming languages
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems (preferred)
