Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer to join their Compute Engine Fleet Maintenance team. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining next-generation technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. Responsibilities For Software Engineer, Google Compute Engine Fleet Maintenance

  • Engage in research, design, implementation, project planning and operational/support work
  • Participate in an oncall rotation (currently business hours only)
  • Evolve and expand tools and servers that manage maintenance events across the Google Compute Engine Fleet
  • Contribute to projects, working closely with colleagues in Dublin and the US (Seattle)
  • Generate ideas and inject thought leadership into team designs and discussions
  • Help grow other engineers and support a strong, healthy engineering culture within the team
