Software Engineer II, Backend, Meet Media

Google is seeking a Software Engineer II for their Backend team in Meet Media. This role is critical in developing infrastructure that supports Meet's need for cloud-side audio and video processing. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms.

As a Software Engineer II at Google, you'll be part of a team that develops next-generation technologies, changing how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. You'll work on projects that handle information at massive scale, extending well beyond web search into areas such as distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Writing product or system development code
• Reviewing code developed by other developers
• Contributing to documentation and educational content
• Triaging and resolving product or system issues
• Developing infrastructure for cloud-side audio and video processing

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 1 year of experience in software development and data structures/algorithms. Preferred qualifications include experience in web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed systems, machine learning, and excellent problem-solving skills.
