Google is seeking a Software Engineer II focused on Quality for the Google Cloud Platform team. This role combines software development and system testing expertise, working within the ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization. The position involves ensuring quality across Google's infrastructure that supports services like Search, YouTube, and Cloud products. The ideal candidate will work on critical testing and automation processes, particularly in the New Product Introduction (NPI) pipeline.

The role requires strong technical skills in software development, Linux environments, and CI/CD practices. You'll be responsible for both hands-on testing and development of automation solutions. Responsibilities For Software Engineer Ⅱ, Quality, Google Cloud Platform

  • Conduct system testing and software development equally
  • Summarize and report the testing status, highlight the blocking and urgent issues during the testing
  • Triage the issue and create bugs during the testing
  • Plan, Execute and monitor the Tsukuba New Product Introduction (NPI) process, system testing and Automation release process
  • Innovate new services or features to enhance the working experience of engineers on the team

  • Bachelor's degree In Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C++)
  • 1 year of experience in development on Linux
