Description For Software Engineer III, Android Framework

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Android Framework team in Bengaluru. As part of the Platforms and Ecosystems product area, you'll work on developing computing software platforms across various environments, from desktop to mobile applications. The role involves building innovative software products that impact people worldwide, from apps to TVs, laptops to phones.

You'll be part of a team that develops next-generation technologies affecting billions of users' interactions and connections. The position requires versatility and leadership qualities, as you'll manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining software solutions.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with software development, data structures, and algorithms. Knowledge of Android Open Source Project or Android Internals is preferred. You'll collaborate with teams across Google, participating in design reviews, code reviews, and contributing to documentation.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Android Framework

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
