Google is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Engineering Productivity team focusing on the Wear platform. This role sits at the heart of Google's engineering process, building software that empowers engineering teams to develop and deliver high-quality products quickly. The position involves working with developer infrastructure, testing tools, and automation frameworks that impact thousands of Googlers and billions of users.

As part of the Platforms and Ecosystems product area, you'll be working on Google's computing software platforms across various environments, from desktop to mobile applications. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Engineering Productivity, Wear

  • Write product or system development code
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
  • Collaborate across engineering productivity and core to deliver common solutions for all users
  • Expand the infrastructure to work across devices (i.e., Android, iOS) and first-party/third-party apps
  • Develop and improve multi-device test automation infrastructures for the Wear platform

Requirements For Software Engineer III, Engineering Productivity, Wear

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development in Python or Java, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 1 year of experience building developer tools (e.g., compilers, automated releases, code design and testing, test automation frameworks)
