Google Cloud is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Compute Infrastructure team. This role involves developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The ideal candidate will work on critical projects, display leadership qualities, and be versatile across the full-stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in or lead design reviews
  • Review code developed by other developers
  • Contribute to documentation and educational content
  • Triage and resolve product or system issues

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 2 years of software development experience, and 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, experience with performance and large-scale systems, and proficiency in code and system health.

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
