Description For Software Engineer III, Google Workspace

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III for their Google Workspace team. This role is part of Google's effort to develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The ideal candidate will be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic about taking on new problems across the full-stack.

As a Software Engineer III, you will work on critical projects for Google's needs, with opportunities to switch teams and projects as the business evolves. Your responsibilities will include managing project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, as well as designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions.

The role requires technical expertise in areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development. You'll be part of a team that develops products helping users connect, communicate, and collaborate, shaping the web experience for millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and at least 2 years of software development experience. The position offers a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Google Workspace

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
