Google TV is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their Infrastructure team, working on redefining the TV experience through personalization and content-forward approaches. This role is part of Google's larger mission to develop next-generation technologies that impact billions of users. The position offers opportunities to work on large-scale systems, distributed computing, and various technical challenges across the full stack.

The role involves developing and maintaining software solutions for Google TV, which currently serves over 110 million active users. You'll be working closely with various Google teams (Ads, Play, YouTube) and third-party streaming partners, contributing to the evolution of the media and entertainment industry. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Infrastructure, Google TV

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
