Description For Software Engineer III, Mobile (Android), Google Assistant

Google is seeking a Software Engineer III for their Mobile (Android) team working on Google Assistant. This role is part of Google's mission to develop next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, 2 years of Android application development experience, experience with performance and large-scale systems, and experience developing accessible technologies. Responsibilities For Software Engineer III, Mobile (Android), Google Assistant

  • Write product or system development code
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
