Description For Software Engineer III, Pixel Camera

The Pixel Camera teams design and deliver delightful cameras and provide exceptional user experience. We work to showcase the image processing, computational photography, machine learning leading-edge technologies, and deliver the best imaging software end-to-end solutions for users. We also strive to revolutionize how people interact with newer and smarter Android devices.

As a Software Engineer III on the Pixel Camera team, you will:

  • Write product or system development code
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (or 1 year with an advanced degree), and 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms. Preferred qualifications include a Master's or PhD in Computer Science, experience with performance and large-scale systems, and proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution.

Google offers a competitive salary range of $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits for this position, with the specific salary determined by factors such as location, experience, and skills.
