Google Cloud's Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is seeking a Software Engineer III to join their mission of building and maintaining large-scale, distributed systems. This role combines software and systems engineering to ensure Google Cloud's services maintain optimal reliability and performance. As an SRE, you'll tackle complex scaling challenges unique to Google Cloud, focusing on system optimization, infrastructure development, and automation.

  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages
  • 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems (preferred)
